Best Rehearsal Dinner Venues In Charleston, SC

The Seabrook Island Club

The Seabrook Island Club is one of the most beautiful South Carolina wedding venues, and with good reason. Our beach clubhouse sits right next to the Atlantic Ocean, creating unique spaces full of wondrous possibilities. It’s truly the perfect setting in which to embark on a new life with your partner, surrounded by loved ones. In addition to being one of the best oceanfront wedding venues in South Carolina, we are also the perfect place to host your pre-wedding rehearsal dinner. To help alleviate the already complex process of planning a wedding, we offer a 50% discount on the venue fee if you decide to book your rehearsal dinner with us, along with your ceremony and/or reception. There are several venues available, each of which may accommodate different needs, including the popular Deveaux Room, which seats 40 and features a wraparound balcony with a breathtaking view.

Magnolias

A standard-bearer in Southern-style fine dining, Magnolias has developed a reputation for the stylish presentation of classic Lowcountry fare. Located on Bay St, just around the corner from the waterfront and the famous Charleston pineapple fountain, Magnolias has thoroughly enmeshed itself into the fabric of the city. The second level of the restaurant boasts two private dining rooms, one serving up to 36 guests and the other fit to accommodate up to 78, with private entrances and a separate kitchen devoted specifically to their service.

High Cotton

Everything about High Cotton is inviting, from the warm pine floors to the exposed brick of the main dining room. High Cotton is owned and operated by the Hall family, who have firmly established themselves at the forefront of the Charleston fine dining scene, and whose famously high standards should ensure that your party goes off without a hitch. They have three rooms available for rehearsal dinners – the main dining room can accommodate up to 100, the French Quarter room can seat 60, and the East Bay room is more intimate, with room for 30.

82 Queen

Steeped in Charleston tradition, 82 Queen is a historic building that dates back to the 1700s. The facility wraps itself around a beautiful courtyard, complete with light strings and a fabulous 200-year-old Magnolia tree. Because of its unique layout, 82 Queen actually offers seven individual rooms available for reservation, the smallest seating 12 people, while the largest accommodates up to 40.

Hall’s Chophouse

Hall’s Chophouse represents the Hall family’s second entry on this list, and it’s an honor well earned. This is the most popular steakhouse in Charleston, and it wastes no time on reinvention. With walls of wood, brick, and velvet-covered in a clutter of gold-framed pictures, Hall’s has the intimate dignity of a true southern steakhouse, allowing for the focus to remain steadily on the happy couple in your rehearsal. They offer flexible options for private dining parties, to be arranged at your convenience.

The Reserve Room at FortyEight Wine Bar

Conveniently located at the Seabrook Island entrance, The Reserve Room is a private dining room that shares a kitchen with the fashionable FortyEight Wine Bar. With flexible seating arrangements and a fantastic wine selection, The Reserve Room takes the stress out of traveling to your rehearsal dinner, as it’s located just down the street from our oceanfront South Carolina wedding venues.

Eli’s Table

Eli’s Table is stylish and fresh, both in atmosphere and culinary predilection. Fusing traditional southern elements with the spectacle of worldly inspiration, this is the adventurous foodie’s choice for her rehearsal dinner. If you’re looking for a talented caterer, with the flexibility and creativity to tantalize the taste buds of everyone in your party, Eli’s Table may be your best bet.

The Vendue

The Vendue is a fashionable art hotel, located in the heart of downtown, near Waterfront Park. They offer several private event options, each with a different ambiance while maintaining a sexy, stylish and artistic theme throughout. A gallery area can be rented for dinners of up to 50 people, already populated with curated works of art. The Revival, the traditional restaurant in the Vendue, can accommodate up to 70 seats, including an intimate bar area. For a change of scenery, head up to the rooftop bar and dining area, which can seat VIP sections of up to 20, or rent out the whole balcony to accommodate 85.

ÉLEVÉ

ÉLEVÉ offers a bit of a change of pace for Charleston, choosing instead to bathe in a more modern sense of luxury. Located in the Grand Bohemian Hotel, a large private room is available toward the back of the stylish main dining area, ready and available to accommodate parties of up to 32. After your rehearsal dinner, don’t miss the opportunity to wander up to the fantastic rooftop lounge, lined with fashionable couches, neon lights, creative cocktails and a beautiful view of the city.

The Porch at Oyster House

The Porch at Oyster House is a specialized event venue, featuring Lowcountry cuisine with a flair for shellfish and seafood. A more casual option than some on this list, they can accommodate up to 65 guests, curating a sense of community with their welcoming atmosphere and family style dining. After your rehearsal dinner, you’ll find yourself conveniently situated downtown, within easy walking distance of Bay St., Broad St., or King St.

The Salty Dog at Bohicket Marina

The Salty Dog cleans up nicely! This is a really charming oceanside option for your rehearsal dinner, located at Bohicket Marina right on the outskirts of Seabrook Island. With indoor and outdoor seating, the breezy atmosphere and the accommodating staff combine to make your night easy and effortlessly fun. And of course, it’s just down the street from some of the most popular South Carolina wedding venues, right here on Seabrook Island.
