Every wedding day comes with dreams of happily ever after, and here at Seabrook Island, we were thrilled to celebrate with a couple whose dream came true. Kathleen and Edward Galto commemorated their 50th wedding anniversary at our Seabrook wedding venue earlier this summer, and we could not be happier to honor this exceptional milestone with them.
Kathleen and Edward have always loved going out to breakfast together, so on May 30th, 2021, they gathered their 33 guests together for a Beachfront Brunch in our Deveaux Room. They opted for a variety of classic breakfast dishes, including fresh fruit crepes, eggs Benedict with lemon hollandaise, and shrimp & grits. Our in-house pastry chef Sean Majewski baked a special red velvet cake for the occasion, topped with fresh berries and a “Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary” script.
“The presentation of the buffet was pristine,” says the couple. “The staff went above and beyond with their service. All our guests are still talking about how delicious the food was. The cake was perfect.”
The party took place in the Deveaux Room, our second-floor event room. The Deveaux Room’s large windows set the party aglow with natural light, and the sloped ceiling gave it an airy, welcoming ambiance to match the tone of the celebration. The private balcony and accompanying ocean view added the finishing touch to an already stunning celebration.
The Galtos hosted their 45th wedding anniversary party at Seabrook Island five years ago and returned to celebrate their 50th as well.
