wedding guest favors

There’s a lot of pressure to plan the perfect wedding, and hundreds of details to consider. All your friends and family are coming for your special day, and you want to make them feel special too. One of the greatest ways to show your loved ones your appreciation is by giving out meaningful yet unique wedding guest favors.

The last thing you’d want is for them to go to waste, so you want to be assured your guests will use them. There are the basics: candles, shot glasses, bottle openers, and more. These are all great options, but if you are looking for more original and unconventional ideas, keep reading for some of Seabrook Island Weddings favorite guest favors.

Cocktail Kits

What’s more fun than a mini cocktail kit? You can select from a variety of different drinks – an Old Fashioned, Mojito, Margarita, Moscow Mule – you name it. Ingredients differ depending on the cocktail, but they can include everything from a bar spoon and coaster to bitters, mint, margarita salt, and ginger syrup. This favor will bring a smile to your guest’s faces, and they will think of your special day as they are crafting their cocktails.

Throw Blankets

Being comfy doesn’t go out of season. Even if your wedding is in the middle of the summer, it is guaranteed that your guests will love a blanket to cozy up to at night. A big bonus of this favor is that you’ll only need to give out one per household. Your guests are guaranteed to use this in their home, and they will think about your wedding day for years to come!

Luggage Tags

A custom luggage tag can be a great tribute to your wedding day. Luggage tags are something everyone needs and should use but might not think to purchase themselves. There are tons of options when it comes to customizing these favors. While referencing travel, you can also give a nod to the wedding. Every time your guests go on vacation, they will think of you! This is an especially great gift for destination weddings as an acknowledgment of appreciation to your guests for traveling for your special day.

Coasters

While your guests may not be as inclined to use coasters with your names and wedding date on them, you can customize them in a subtle way. There are many different options to choose from in terms of material and personalization. Whether it be a map or drawing of the setting that references where your wedding was held, coasters will come in handy.

Socks/Dance Slippers

After the ceremony, it’s time to hit the dance floor. While many guests take off their shoes, they may not have socks. It can be especially uncomfortable for ladies with high heels, so providing a basket of socks/“dance slippers” is very creative yet functional. This way, your guests can hit the dance floor without worrying about slipping and falling or being barefoot!

Photo Gift Cards

After your wedding, one of the most fun things to do is look back at photos from your special day. Providing gift cards to your guests so they can purchase photos from the photographer is a great way to 1) give your guests great memories to look back on, and 2) give your photographer some extra business. This is an expense that some guests might not be willing to originally pay, but by providing gift cards, they will use them!

Not Exactly a “Favor”

Along with these options, you can include a section in the wedding invitation for your guests to fill out a song request and what they like to drink. This will help you formulate your wedding playlist and will make your guests feel special when the song they requested comes on! By asking their drink order, the bar will be able to better prepare. This also gives you the opportunity to order the cocktail kits more efficiently!

While the wedding guest favors may seem like a big detail, they don’t have to be extravagant. In the long run, you just want your guests to use them and feel appreciated. We hope you enjoyed some of our favorite wedding guest favors we’ve seen here at Seabrook Island!
